This animation, presented at the Hongik University Graduation Exhibition, is a two-channel video installation that explores reality and ideal states. The two screens sometimes influence each other, exist independently, or come together as a single scene.

Everyone carries an ideal version of themselves—someone they once wanted to become, want to become, or could become. Reality, however, never fully aligns with this ideal and creates a subtle offset. Within this gap, we adjust our direction and recalibrate ourselves, viewing the distance between ideal and reality not as a flaw but as a space for growth and new possibilities.홍익대학교 졸업전시에서 선보인 이 애니메이션은 2채널 영상 설치 작품으로, 각각 현실과 이상을 담고 있다. 두 화면은 때로는 서로 영향을 주고받기도, 때로는 각자의 모습으로 존재하며, 어떤 순간에는 하나의 장면처럼 이어진다.

“모든 사람에게는 되고 싶었던, 되고 싶은, 또 될 수 있는 이상이 존재한다. 그러나 현실은 그 이상과 완전히 일치하지 않고, 늘 어긋나며(offset), 그 어긋남 속에서 우리는 방향을 조정하고(offset), 끊임없이 자신을 조율한다. 결국 이상과 현실 사이의 간극은 성장의 계기이자 가능성의 장이 된다.”

Offset Reality라는 제목은 현실과 이상 사이의 어긋남과 동시에 맞닿을 가능성을 담고 있다.
