This work begins with the question, “What is video?” and explores the transformation of media dimensions. The work raises the question of whether printing and physically arranging all the frames that make up a video could also be considered a form of video.
To examine this idea, the artist presents two versions of the work — one as a video displayed on screen, and another as a printed structure that allows each frame to be manually flipped through.

‘영상이란 무엇인가’라는 질문에서 출발한 이 작업은 매체의 차원 변환을 탐구한다. 작가는 이 질문을 실험적으로 검증하기 위해, 디지털 화면 속 움직이는 영상과 인쇄된 프레임을 물리적 공간에 배치한 오브제로 병치시킨다. 관람자는 두 매체를 오가며 ‘영상’이란 개념이 시간의 흐름에만 존재하는 것이 아니라, 물리적 배열과 시선의 움직임 속에서도 형성될 수 있음을 인식하게 된다.
작가는 화면에서 재생되는 영상과, 각 프레임을 직접 넘겨볼 수 있는 인쇄 구조물을 함께 제시하며, 두 형태의 결과물을 각각 애니메이팅된 비디오 1, 2로 명명한다.
